We have reached the end of 2015! There are only 3 and a half days left until the new year begins. Now is the time that everyone is reflecting on the past year and making resolutions for the year to come. Did you accomplish your goals? What are your new goals?
March 2015 I had come up with the idea to start a food blog about my food adventures as a picky eater. December 2015, I’m still here, sharing my A.P.E. journeys with all of you. I started an Instagram account to coexist with my blog and ten months later, I am approaching 10,000 followers. I’ve been to menu tastings at restaurants, developed my own recipes, interviewed fascinating people in the food industry, and met a lot of new and interesting people who love food as much as me. I taught myself how to create a website from nothing. Literally, with no knowledge of web development, I managed to learn enough to put this blog together in a month.
There is still so much that I want to do, but I am really happy with the progress I’ve made thus far. It’s been exciting for me to view my “site stats” and see the number of views my website gets on a daily basis. I can spend hours watching my Instagram account pictures and tracking the number of “likes” my pictures get. When I find out that I’ve had a picture re-posted by a well-respected Instagram account (ex: Travel and Leisure magazine) I seriously want to tell everyone in the world!
I don’t have any plans or goals set up for 2016 that I can really list out. Mainly, I just want to be able to continue writing this blog and developing A.P.E. If that means going out to more restaurants and writing more reviews, then you’ll see me out there! If it means creating more recipes and sharing tips, you’ll be getting that information! If it means a mixture of both, or something entirely different, as long as I’m doing what makes me happy, I’m okay with that.
